🎯 Role Overview
As a Design Engineer at Jarsh Safety, you will take end-to-end ownership of the mechanical product design lifecycle — from concept development to production-ready hardware. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop next-generation IoT-enabled industrial safety devices used by field workers in high-risk environments.

🛠 What You’ll Work On
✔ Design and develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, tooling, and fixtures using SolidWorks/CATIA
✔ Create production-ready manufacturing drawings with GD&T standards
✔ Lead plastic product design for wearable and industrial safety devices
✔ Work on DFM, injection moulding, electroplating, and surface finishing processes
✔ Collaborate with electronics, firmware, and industrial design teams for integrated product development
✔ Drive new product development from ideation to production release
✔ Conduct prototyping, testing, validation, and design optimization activities
✔ Coordinate with tooling vendors, mould makers, CNC vendors, and suppliers
✔ Support BOM generation, version control, and engineering documentation
✔ Solve real-world engineering challenges for industrial safety applications

🎓 Eligibility
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
2 – 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical product design or new product development

✅ What We’re Looking For
✔ Strong expertise in plastic product design and engineering polymers
✔ Hands-on experience with injection moulding design principles and DFM
✔ Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or CATIA
✔ Strong understanding of GD&T, fits, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
✔ Knowledge of electroplating and surface finishing techniques
✔ Problem-solving mindset with strong ownership and accountability
✔ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced R&D environment
✔ Clear communication and collaboration skills

⭐ Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience with wearable or portable industrial devices
• Familiarity with IP65/IP67 enclosure design
• Exposure to rapid prototyping (3D printing/CNC machining)
• Knowledge of IEC/IS safety standards
• Understanding of CE/RoHS compliance requirements
• Experience with agile or stage-gate product development processes
• Exposure to sensor integration in mechanical assemblies
