IIT Jodhpur SURAj Internship Eligibility – Complete Guide

Who Can Apply?

The SURAj Internship Programme is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from reputed institutions across India.

Eligible Institutions

• Undergraduate students from IITs, NITs, IISERs

• Exceptional students from other prestigious institutions

Note: Applicants must be regular, currently enrolled students of their respective institutes.

Enrollment Status Criteria

Students must meet the following academic status requirements:

• B.Tech. / B.E. students – Currently in 3rd year

• M.Sc. students – Currently in 1st year

Academic Requirements

To be eligible, students must satisfy the minimum academic performance criteria:

• Minimum CGPA: 7.0 / 10

• For B.Tech./B.E. students: CGPA should be calculated after completion of the 5th semester

• For M.Sc. students: CGPA should be calculated after completion of the 1st semester

Stipend Eligibility Details

Selected interns may receive a stipend based on specific conditions.

Stipend Amount

• ₹6,000 per month

• Maximum duration: 2 months

Conditions for Receiving Stipend

An intern will be eligible for the stipend only if all the following conditions are met:

• Pursuing B.Tech./B.S. (after completing 5th semester) or M.Sc. (after completing 1st semester)

• Studying at NITs that have an MoU with IIT Jodhpur

• Minimum CGPA of 7.0 / 10

• Receives a satisfactory performance grade from the assigned project mentor at the end of the internship

Internship Without Stipend

Even if a student does not meet the stipend eligibility criteria, they can still:

• Participate in the internship programme

• Gain valuable research and project experience

In some cases, faculty members may provide a stipend through their research projects, depending on availability.
