UIDAI Data Hackathon 2026 – National Student Challenge on Aadhaar Data

🎯 Objective

The hackathon aims to encourage students to analyse anonymised Aadhaar enrolment and update datasets to identify meaningful patterns, trends, anomalies, or predictive indicators. The goal is to translate those insights into actionable frameworks that can support better decision-making and improvements in citizen-centric digital services. 

👩‍🎓 Who Can Participate

• Students enrolled in any recognised Indian university or institution.

• Participants must be at least 18 years old as of 1 January 2026.

• Individuals can participate alone or in teams (up to 5 members).

• Employees or service providers of UIDAI or NIC are NOT eligible to participate.  

🧠 Team Formation

• Teams can have up to 5 members including the Team Lead.

• A participant can join only one team.

• During submission, the Team Lead must upload student ID cards of all members.  

🛠 Registration Process

1. Register on JanParichay (Government single-sign-on platform).

2. After signup, log in on the event.data.gov.in challenge page.

3. Complete your profile and submit required details to participate.

4. First-time users should update their email ID in JanParichay before proceeding

🧩 Problem Statement

Participants will be given anonymised Aadhaar datasets related to enrolment and updates. The challenge is to perform exploratory data analysis, uncover insights, and propose predictive frameworks or solution models that address real-world issues or enhance the effectiveness of Aadhaar services.
