What a month October has been! This is not only the month of festivals but also a month of sale events conducted by various ecom sites. There were some great deals on all the categories including our favorite – electronics. Not only that, many smartphone manufacturers have come up with the latest models during this month. Let’s check them out.

OnePlus

The best player in the Flagship segment – OnePlus has launched two of its flagships in two different events.

First up, the OnePlus 7T was launched in the last week of September. It has a Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. There’s a triple camera setup on the back with a 48 MP primary sensor, 16 MP wide-angle and a 12 MP telephoto camera. The front has a teardrop notch hosting a 16 MP front-cam. It also has a 3800 mah battery coupled with Warp Charge 30T which uses a 30W charger.

Then at another event in London two weeks later, OnePlus has unveiled OnePlus 7T Pro & OnePLus 7T Pro McLaren edition.

These phones are also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC. The OnePlus 7T Pro has a Quad HD+ Fluid AMOLED display also with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a 48 MP primary sensor, 16 MP wide-angle and an 8 MP telephoto sensor on the back. It has a pop-up camera which has a 16MP selfie camera. 7T Pro has a 4085 mah battery which supports Warp Charge 30T.

Coming to pricing, OnePlus 7T starts at Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant while the OnePlus 7T Pro starts at Rs. 53,999 for 8GB + 256GB variant. The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is sold at Rs. 58,999 which offers 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.

Samsung

At the end of September, Samsung launched two mid-range phones – Samsung Galaxy M30S & Samsung Galaxy M10S which are upgraded versions of the M30 & M10 respectively.

The Galaxy M30S comes with a 6.4 inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. It has triple camera setup on the back – 48 MP + 8 MP + 5MP. The front has a teardrop notch which has a 16 MP camera. The best thing about this phone is that it has a massive 6000 mah battery which supports 15W fast charging. It also has a Type-C port. The M30S is powered by Exynos 9611 octa-core processor and comes in 4+64 option priced at Rs13,999 and 6+128 variant priced at Rs.16,999.

The Galaxy M10S comes with a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display. There is a 13 MP + 5 MP dual-camera setup on the back. The front camera is an 8 MP sensor sitting in a teardrop notch. M10S has a 4000 mah battery which also supports 15W fast charging and has a Type-C port. This phone has an Exynos 7884B processor. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and is priced at Rs. 7,999.

Realme has come up with a budget flagship to counter its competitors and that is the new Realme X2 Pro. It is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor and comes with a Full HD+ Super AMOLED display which supports 90Hz refresh rate for smoother transitions. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The back houses a quad-cam setup – 64MP primary sensor, 13 MP telephoto sensor, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The display has a teardrop notch with a 16MP camera unit. It has a 4000 mah battery which supports 50W SuperVOOC Flash Charge that can reportedly charge the phone till 100% in just 5 minutes which is insane.It comes in 3 variants – 6GB+64GB, 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB and the pricing starts at CNY 2,699.

But this is phone is not available in India yet, it will be launched here in December this year.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 8 series here in India in October.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by a Mediatek Helio G90T processor. It has a quad-camera setup on the rear – 64MP+8MP+2MP+2MP. There is an FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch that has a 20MP selfie camera. It comes with a 4500 mah battery with an 18W fast charger. It also has an IP52 rating which means it is water and dust resistant to a certain extent.

The Redmi Note 8, on the other hand, runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. It has a 13MP front cam in the teardrop notch while the rear setup is 48MP+8MP+2MP+2MP. It has a Full HD+ display and 4000 mah battery which supports 18Q fast charging.

The Note 8 Pro comes in 3 variants – 6GB RAM + 64 GB storage at Rs. 14,999 , 6GB+128GB at Rs. 15,999 and the 8GB+128GB variant at Rs. 17,999.

While the Note 8 has 4GB+64GB option at Rs. 9,999 and a 6GB+128GB option at Rs. 12,999.
