Educational Qualifications

1. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’
  • Qualification:
    ME/MTech/MSc (Engg) or equivalent Postgraduate Degree in relevant discipline with BE/BTech/BSc (Engg) or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum Marks:
    60% aggregate or CGPA 6.5 on 10-point scale in qualifying degree.
    (For AMIE/Grad IETE candidates, minimum 65% or CGPA 6.84 in Section B.)

2. Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant
  • Diploma in relevant Engineering / Science discipline with first-class marks.

3. Technician ‘B’
  • SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/NAC in relevant trade.
    Example: Technician ‘B’ (Chemical) – SSLC/SSC + ITI/NTC/NAC in Chemical / Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) / Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant).

4. Cook
  • SSLC pass + relevant experience in cooking in a large establishment.

Age Limit & Relaxations

  • General Category: As per post requirements (refer to official notification).

  • Age Relaxations:

    • SC/ST: 5 years

    • OBC: 3 years

    • PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Central Govt employees: as per rules.

Posting Centres & Transfer Policy

  • Some posts (e.g., Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ Codes 1, 3, 4, 5) are exclusively for SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota.

  • Posts under Codes 2 & 6 may be placed in other ISRO centres.

  • All India Transfer Liability: Selected candidates can be posted anywhere within ISRO/Department of Space units across India.

Selection Process

  • For Scientists/Engineers: Screening + Interview.

  • For Technical & Technician Posts: Written Test + Skill Test as per trade/discipline.
