HOW TO BECOME INTELLIGENCE BUREAU OFFICER

There are various career opportunities that we are discussing for many days. Here is one of such jobs that is an IB officer (Information Bureau). Let’s discuss the eligibility, exam, pattern, requirements for the job.

The IB conducts exams to hire mainly for 2 posts those are Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) and Grade-II/Executive in the Intelligence Bureau.

Eligibility: Assistant Central Intelligence Officer

  • Graduation degree
  • Minimum age of 18 and maximum age of 28.

For IB Security Assistant:

  • 10th class from recognized institutions
  • Minimum age of 18 and maximum age of 28.
  • Command in local language

EXAM PATTERN:

Candidate appearing for Assistant central intelligence officer should pass an exam conducted in 2 stages. Tier 1 will have 100 marks and tier 2 will have 50 marks.

Tier1 is for 100 marks which include General Awareness, English, General Knowledge, General Ability and duration is 1 hour

Tier2 is for 50 marks and will have essay writing and English comprehension, duration is 1 hour.

Candidates appearing for Security assistant will have to go through 3 stages of tests. The first tier is for 100 marks, the duration is of 2 hours and will include General Awareness, General knowledge, English, General Ability.

Tier 2 will have a translation of a passage from the local language to English and spoken ability(interview type) and the duration is 1 hour.

SYLLABUS:

Questions are very simple and below the 10th class standards. But, the cut-off is the key. Just master the subject. Solve simple questions in a designated time to crack the exam.
