About I4C

The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) is a flagship project under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. It aims to create a robust ecosystem for dealing with cybercrime through research, innovation, investigation, training, and coordinated law enforcement.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible candidates include students currently pursuing:

• UG, PG, or PhD degrees in:

  • Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering

  • Electrical & Electronic Communication

  • Cyber Security, Information Security, Forensics

  • AI, ML, Data Analytics

  • Law (LLB, LLM)

  • Criminology, Sociology

  • Any related field connected to cyberspace

Eligibility is limited to students from top institutions listed in the NIRF 2023 rankings, including:

• Top 200 Engineering Institutes

• Top 30 Law Colleges

• 165 Institutes of National Importance

Internship Locations

• I4C HQ: NDCC-II Building, Jai Singh Marg, New Delhi

• NCFL: Dwarka, New Delhi

• Shivaji Stadium, New Delhi

• Various JCCTs across States/UTs

Duration & Intake

• Summer Batch: April – September

• Winter Batch: October – March

Internship Duration:

• UG / PG: 2 Months

• PhD: 4 Months

Total Intake per Batch:

• 25 Undergraduate

• 15 Postgraduate

• 10 PhD
  (100 interns per year)

What You’ll Learn

• Visit NCFL, NCRB, 1930 Cyber Helplines, and control rooms

• Learn directly from senior cybercrime professionals

• Get hands-on with cybercrime investigations

• Work on national-level digital security projects

Stipend Details

• UG Students: ₹6,000/month

• PG Students: ₹10,000/month

• PhD Students: ₹20,000/month

Paid through PFMS upon successful completion and approval of your internship report.

Intern Responsibilities

• Assigned to mentors/supervisors from I4C

• Study and analyze cybercrime trends

• Help create awareness material and reports

• Maintain strict confidentiality (NDA signing required)

• Submit a final project report and presentation for evaluation

Certificate of Completion

• Report to be evaluated by a committee of 3 senior officers

• Certificate awarded only after approval of your work and presentation

Logistics

• Work space at I4C premises will be provided

• Interns must arrange their own accommodation in Delhi
