What You’ll Do

Craft 5–6 original science stories for IISc’s official platforms, including newsletters, websites, and press releases

Translate complex research into engaging, reader-friendly content that sparks curiosity in non-expert audiences

Learn the essentials of science journalism, including headline writing, fact-checking, and structuring impactful narratives

Gain exposure on platforms like Kernel and Connect, where your work could reach a diverse and intellectually curious audience

Build a professional writing portfolio with editorial guidance and constructive feedback from experienced mentors
Who Can Apply?
Anyone with a knack for writing and an interest in science! While all applicants are welcome, preference will be given to:
