The video conferencing apps have gained importance in recent times because of the lockdown implemented by the governments due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Skype, Webex was used before but the ZOOM APP, gaining more popularity among the users across demographics.
The app has generated a lot of users’ interest as compared to other platforms. The Zoom mobile application has already crossed 100 million-plus downloads on the Google Playstore.
The Union Ministry of Home has officially suggested people of the country not to use the Zoom app as its servers are located in China and the user data has been sold to fraudsters.
So, the government has asked the Indian startups to develop India based Video conferencing app.
The government has put on a challenge in MY gov.in site.
Aspirants can log in to Innovation Challenge in my gov site and the government will shortlist 10 teams and fund them 5 lakhs initially.
Later, after screening the final team will be gifted 1 crore rupees.

The first data breach of the Zoom app was found in Germany.
Many schools in Germany organized video conferencing classes for their students who got locked down at home due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Like WhatsApp, Facebook messengers, the Zoom app also advertised themselves saying that the Zoom has end-to-end encryption.
But, later after the USA federal agency investigation, it proved to be false.
The Zoom app company has officially accepted that it is capturing the data that the users talk through their app and sending it to Facebook for advertising purposes.
But, after the serious allegations, the company stopped transferring the user data to the Facebook company.
Lack of end-to-end encryption is allowing hackers to grab the users’ faces, voice, and information about what is spoken during the conference.
This information can be misused to commit some serious crimes and involve the hacked user data as the victim in the crime.
Many of us are believing that the Zoom app is a China-based company.
But actually, it is an American company whose servers are located in China.
The main concern is that, because of its insecure features, the China government can hack the user day and use it for business purposes.
