RRB-NTPC: Syllabus, Pattern, Book list & Strategy

RRB-NTPC is conducted to recruit the non-technical cadre on the Railway board. There are many vacancies coming up in recent years. So, here we are sharing an overview of the exam, requirements, exam pattern, and other details below:

Exam Pattern:

The exam will be held in 3 stages others and in 4 stages for those who apply for the position of steno, typing, and such posts.

Stage1:

Stage 1 is a computer-based test and will have 90 minutes to solve three sections

Stage2:

Stage 2 is also a CBT based test and will have 90 minutes to solve 3 sections

Stage3:

Stage3 will have typing test but only for few positions namely:

Book List:

General Awareness: Lucent’s General Knowledge, Manorama Yearbook, Arihant General Knowledge 2020, NCERT Books – Class X, XII

Mathematics: Quantitative Aptitude by RS Aggarwal, Fast Track by Rajesh Verma, Advanced Maths by Rakesh Yadav

Logical Reasoning: Analytical Reasoning by MK Pandey, Test of Reasoning by Edgar Thorpe, A Modern Approach to Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning by RS Aggarwal, Lucent Reasoning Book.

Strategy:

For everyone who is appearing for the government the key to success is consistency. One needs to be consistent in his approach. If you are good at maths, make sure that you don’t make any mistakes in it. If you are good at English make sure you won’t do mistakes in it.

The cut-off for RRB is increasing because of more number of genuine aspirants. So, be one among them. Take up a timetable that suits you and doesn’t neglect that even a single day at any cost. Keep yourselves stress-free. Talk to the one who has already cracked the exam and is currently doing the job.
